Eleana Daniel is an American oil painter working between abstraction and representation through themes of landscape. She is a recent graduate from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, earning her MFA in May of 2024. Eleana’s work is a negotiation of control and an exercise in trust. Abstraction is necessary to her practice now because it is flexible; it allows for the unnameable and ineffable. Through painting, she is looking for alternatives.
