Paul Hager Country Landscape Oil Paintings, a Pair

A pair of impressionist oil on artist board paintings by German artist Paul Hager. Both are pastoral scenes; one depicts a country lane, the other a stone bridge over a river. Each is signed and labeled in the back. Original gilt frames are richly carved.
The label in the back reads; “Born in Munich, Hager attended the Munich Art Academy and also the Vienna Art Academy. He paints in and near the Black Forest and is particularly noted for his landscapes and fine renditions of water and sky. His paintings seem familiar to Americans because of their great similarity to many sections of the United States.
